Friends of the Aiken Co. Historical Museum 2014 Lecture Series "Snap-Shop of Aiken - Past and Present Lecture Series will be in the Ballroom at Banksia (Aiken Co. Historical Museum) with guest speakers Skipper Perry (moderator), Anna Dangerfield, Sara Beeland and others. Topic: A panel discussion by descendants of early Aiken families. Panel members will give a brief talk on their family history in Aiken and the panel will discuss changes. Battle of Aiken
February 21-23, 2014
Aiken History becomes alive with 20 cannons, 100 cavalry horses and 1000 living history experts during the Battle of Aiken.  This reenactment brings to life the Battle which occurred Feb. 11 and 12th, 1865 and was the last victory for the Confederacy. The event takes place on 1210 Powell Pond Rd. Aiken, SC at Confederate Memorial Park.

Savannah River Site Public Tours
