The Willcox Hotel is 5 stars for a reason. They are unbelievably courteous, mannerly, hospitable, and accommodating. Our Willcox representative was not only beyond certified to help any bride make her day absolutely perfect, she’s there for everything.
When you have a buyout, only your guests can stay in their 23 rooms, their chef works with your numbers to accommodate any style menu (we chose stations), and the whole staff works for your event that day. Tina worked with us to make a perfect table plan. She also handles all outside vendors the day of.
My bridal party got ready in the roosevelt suite and it was truly magical. The staff brought in breakfast and lunch for us and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I stayed the next day in the same suite and had amazing food and service the whole next day. I could never recommend The Willcox enough!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Willcox in January 2018, using the Hunt Room for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner in the Library. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and intimate. It is such an elegant backdrop if you are looking for historical southern charm. My husband and I also stayed in one of the suites on our wedding night, and I cannot recommend this enough.
If you are getting married in Aiken or close by, I cannot think of a better place to spend your wedding night. It is beautifully renovated and decorated, and the rooms are spacious.
The Willcox is one of the most beautiful venues in Aiken, and I would recommend having at least one event there, even if you do not get married there.

The Willcox exceeded our expectations. Rain threatened our outdoor plans, so The Willcox team set up two different back-up plans for us just in case! The food and service were both fantastic. Everything was super easy to plan, because there was a pre-set menu, with prices per head. We decided to go with a cheesecake (that came without catering package) in lieu of a regular cake, and it was a total hit!

I would never have picked to have my wedding anywhere else. My day was absolutely perfect, and I could not have had it without the help of the Willcox team. They were there every step of the way making sure that everything was taken care of exactly how I wanted it.

Katherine Grantham, the events coordinator, took in hand all that I needed to accomplish with expertise and skill. From the private room to the valet to the impeccable wait staff and the meal that was perfection- we could not have been more pleased. The waiters were attentive but not intrusive. The chef cooked all individually ordered meals exactly as requested. The room was comfortable and elegant with flowers arranged on crisp white linen dressed tables.
We had our wedding reception here and our guests rented out the entire hotel. It was an amazing venue. It was like we had a little party compound for a those days.
The hotel is a beautiful venue by itself. And the food is excellent. It is a well-known historic Aiken building, which made the location even more special.
Katherine even saw to the recreation of the old peach-rosemary tea that the Willcox made in the early 2000’s. The recipe is long forgotten by the staff so she did some experiments and staged a tea-tasting for us.
